Methstreams Canada is the independent editorial guide to the Canadian sports television calendar. Canada’s broadcast rights map is meaningfully different from the United States, and the Canadian-specific page exists so the Saturday-night plan can be made on the actual rights-holder rather than on a US-anchored guess.
We cover the three sports where Canadian rights diverge most from the US: UFC, NBA, and soccer. The NFL is also widely watched in Canada but the broadcast rights closely parallel the US picture (the NFL has its own Canadian carriage through TSN and DAZN); we publish the NFL details on the US guide which carries to Canada with notes on the Canadian sub-licensing.
Who carries Canadian sport in 2025-26
The Canadian map is concentrated on three corporate broadcasters: Bell (TSN and CTV), Rogers (Sportsnet and Citytv), and the public broadcaster CBC.
- UFC lives on TSN, the Canadian UFC rights holder. TSN holds the carriage rights direct from the UFC and is not sub-licensing from ESPN+ as is sometimes reported. PPV main cards run on TSN PPV. Fight Nights run on TSN linear or TSN+ streaming.
- NBA is split between Sportsnet (Toronto Raptors local and select national) and TSN (national windows shared with the US ESPN/ABC and TNT slate). NBA League Pass is also sold in Canada at the same $14.99/mo USD rate.
- Soccer runs on OneSoccer (Canadian Premier League and CONCACAF), Sportsnet (Premier League shared with NBC’s package), TSN (UEFA Champions League via DAZN partnership), fuboTV Canada (MLS and Serie A), and DAZN Canada.

A practical Canadian viewing plan
For full UFC, NBA and Premier League coverage in Canada, the minimum subscription footprint is TSN+ ($19.99/mo), Sportsnet Now ($24.99/mo for the premium tier), and OneSoccer if Canadian Premier League and the national teams matter (available via fuboTV at $25/mo).
PPV cards on TSN are priced at roughly CAD $79.99 per UFC event, holding parity with the US ESPN+ PPV price.
Editorial note for May 2026
The NBA playoffs are in the conference final swing. The Raptors are not in this round. The Canadian Premier League season is underway. Champions League final is on TSN at the end of the month. The UFC has one PPV on the calendar before the summer break.
