Methstreams UK is the independent editorial guide to the UK sports television calendar. The UK broadcast map shares almost nothing with the US picture: TNT Sports holds rights to the sports that ESPN owns in America, and Sky Sports occupies the Premier League position that NBC occupies for the US market. The Canadian middle-ground does not exist here.
We cover the three sports most relevant to a UK Methstreams audience: UFC, boxing, and football. The NFL, NBA and MLB have UK carriage on smaller channels (Sky NFL, BBC NFL highlights, ESPN UK for NBA streaming) but the audience size does not warrant a dedicated UK page in this cohort.
Who carries UK sport in 2025-26
The UK broadcast landscape is concentrated on three primary commercial broadcasters plus the public BBC.
- TNT Sports is the UK UFC rights holder. PPV main cards run on TNT Sports Box Office, the network’s PPV product. Fight Nights run on TNT Sports linear and the TNT Sports app, included with the £30.99/mo Discovery+ Premium subscription.
- Sky Sports holds 215 of the 380 Premier League matches per season under the 2025-2029 cycle. Sky also carries most boxing PPV through Sky Sports Box Office, sharing the calendar with DAZN.
- TNT Sports holds 52 Premier League matches per season plus the UEFA Champions League (sharing Tuesday windows with Amazon Prime Video) and Europa League.
- DAZN UK at £24.99 per month carries the Matchroom and Queensberry shared boxing slate. DAZN is the primary streaming home for UK boxing outside the PPV-only events that run on Sky.
- BBC Sport is the free-to-air public broadcaster. BBC carries FA Cup highlights, England men’s and women’s national team fixtures, and the new midweek Champions League highlights show on BBC One.
- ITV carries England internationals and the FA Cup live matches under the BBC-ITV sharing arrangement.
A practical UK viewing plan
For full UFC, Premier League and boxing coverage in the UK, the minimum subscription footprint is Sky Sports (£30/mo for the Now TV Sport monthly pass, or roughly £40+/mo for a full Sky package), TNT Sports via Discovery+ Premium (£30.99/mo), and DAZN UK (£24.99/mo). PPV cards on TNT Sports Box Office and Sky Sports Box Office are priced separately at £19.95 to £24.95 per event.
For a single-sport follower, the cheapest path is to subscribe only to the rights-holder for that sport.
Editorial note for May 2026
The Premier League title race wraps in two weeks. UEFA Champions League final is on TNT Sports at the end of the month. UFC has one PPV on the calendar before the summer break, running on TNT Sports Box Office. Two notable boxing cards in May, both on DAZN.
